New Covenant Prophecies: The Old Replaced?

New Covenant Prophecies

New Covenant Prophecies

New Covenant, as prophesied through the Old Testament Prophets, has it been fulfilled? Then we can ask ourselves if the Christian Church is living by the New Covenant. Or, is the New Covenant the Churches live by the same New Covenant the Old Testament talks about! Is the New Covenant going to be realized in the future, perhaps in the Millennial Kingdom.

This is lengthy, and I didn’t spell everything out. I’m hoping that Bible Students will study this out for themselves, using the Passages and Hebrew and Greek words shown! This study speaks for itself!

Many declare the Torah (The Law) is Jacob’s Inheritance, and it’s not meant for Gentiles. Well, I believe I am not misinterpreting the following passages. As Jesus is of the Tribe of Judah, I and every Believer in him as the Messiah falls under his authority. When we first became curious about Yehoshua (Jesus) we were sojourners and strangers. Once Saved, we became a part of the Tribe of Judah!

Exodus 12:49 One law shall be to him that is home born, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.

Leviticus 24:22 Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your (own) country: for I am the Lord your God.

Yehoshua said the fields are ripe for Harvest, and he was referring to Revival. I believe the issue of the Prophecies is directly related to Revival. It seems to me we haven’t seen a Real, lasting Revival because Christianity has ignored the Prophecies of the New Covenant. Christianity seems to have ignored the words of the Messiah as well.

I decided I need to add the Law Verses Grace debates to this article. This issue is based on Yehoshua’s (Jesus’) Words, and His Apostle John. I mentioned Revival earlier. I have seen so many Churches begin and there was no doubt that HaShem (The LORD God) was with these groups. The Holy Spirit was moving. Then in a short period of time things settled down, and the groups didn’t result in a Revival.

One possible explanation for this conundrum might be the Prophecies of the New Covenant. The vast majority of Catholic and Protestant Christianity does not want the Torah written on their Hearts, and they let HaShem no it daily.

Without the Torah Written on our Hearts, we do not have the ability to properly REPENT. Let’s look at Yehoshua and John’s words.

Matthew 5:17 ¶Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.   18  For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Christianity doesn’t address this issue, unless to declare, “Paul said, Paul said, Paul said, …. And Paul was just as inspired as Jesus”. Obviously I disagree with their views.

The Prophecies Of The New Covenant Are Pretty Clear.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.   19  ¶Go ye therefore, and teach all NATIONS (Gentiles), baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:   20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

1. Yehoshua told his Disciples to teach men the Least Command.

2. The Messiah made it clear the Law is still in effect till Heaven and Earth Pass.

3. Our Savior, after the Resurrection, yet before Pentecost, told his Disciples to go to the Gentiles.

4. Yehoshua told His Disciples to Teach the Gentiles everything they were taught.

After Pentecost, the Apostles went forth and taught the Gentiles to Keep the Least Command.

I John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law (TORAH).

The Apostle John solved the issue for us. John wrote this after Pentecost. The Torah is the standard for letting us know if what we are doing is SIN!

Matthew 18: 16  But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

I will stick with Yehoshua and John when in doubt.

The New Testament Is The Old Covenant Rebuilt.

Prophecies Of The New Covenant.

Eze 37:26-28 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Jer 31:31-36 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was a husband unto them, saith the LORD:

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Jer 24:7 And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

The Old Covenant Was GOOD, The 613 Laws Prove It.

Eze 11:17-20 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel. And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence. Q And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

Eze 36:22-29 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Q And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.

The New Testament Includes The Torah Written On Our Hearts.

Joel 2:28-29 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

Confirmation of The New Covenant Came.

Act 2:16-18 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

It seems to me Peter didn’t take this View, and as a result of the First Church’s Actions in Acts 2 and 4 they literally did something that no other group had ever done!

They sold All they had and gave the Money to the Apostles, who made sure no man had a need!

The New Covenant was Given, completely!

The Blood Of Yehoshua And Faith In Him Rebuilt the Torah.

Let’s Look At The Hebrew and Greek Words Of The Old And New Covenant.

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a NEW covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

NEW

H2319 châdâsh khaw-dawsh’ From H2318; new: – fresh, new thing.

H2318 châdash khaw-dash’ A primitive root; to be new; causatively to rebuild: – renew, repair.

Today we are using our definition for the word New and applying it to the NEW Covenant! We’ll now take a look at a passage that uses a different Hebrew word that was translated NEW as well!

Num 16:30 But if the LORD make a NEW thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.

A NEW THING

H1278 berı̂y’âh ber-ee-aw’ Feminine from H1254; a creation, that is, a novelty: – new thing.

H1254 bârâ’ baw-raw’ A primitive root; (absolutely) to create; (qualified) to cut down (a wood), select, feed (as formative processes): – choose, create (creator), cut down, dispatch, do, make (fat).

Christianity is literally Declaring the New Covenant as something totally separate from the Old Covenant! If this is the case, the Old Testament Prophets would have used the Hebrew Word ‘H1278’ found in Num 16:30 for the NEW Covenant! They did not use that word!

The Prophets used the Hebrew Word ‘H2319’ which means ‘New‘, with a sense of ‘Rebuilding’!

The Old Covenant Is Like A 64 Mustang That Needs Minor Repairs.

The New Testament Words for ‘New’ are not as clear as the distinction between the two Hebrew Words! The New Testament isn’t supposed to contradict the Old Testament!!!

NEW Testament

G2537 καινός kainos kahee-nos’ Of uncertain affinity; new (especially in freshness; while G3501 is properly so with respect to age): – new.

G3501 νέος, νεώτερος neos neōteros neh’-os, neh-o’-ter-os A primary word, including the comparative (second form); “new”, that is, (of persons) youthful, or (of things) fresh; figuratively regenerate: – new, young.

TESTAMENT

G1242 διαθήκη diathēkē dee-ath-ay’-kay From G1303; properly a disposition, that is, (specifically) a contract (especially a devisory will): – covenant, testament.

G1223 διά dia dee-ah’ A primary preposition denoting the channel of an act; through (in very wide applications, local, causal or occasional). In composition it retains the same general import: – after, always, among, at, to avoid, because of (that), briefly, by, for (cause) . . . fore, from, in, by occasion of, of, by reason of, for sake, that, thereby, therefore, X though, through (-out), to, wherefore, with (-in). In composition it retains the same general import.

G5087 τίθημι tithēmi tith’-ay-mee A prolonged form of a primary word θέω theō (which is used only as an alternate in certain tenses); to place (in the widest application, literally and figuratively; properly in a passive or horizontal posture, and thus different from G2476, which properly denotes an upright and active position, while G2749 is properly reflexive and utterly prostrate): – + advise, appoint, bow, commit, conceive, give, X kneel down, lay (aside, down, up), make, ordain, purpose, put, set (forth), settle, sink down.

It’s Time To Restore The New Covenant For Revival.

G2476 ἵστημι histēmi his’-tay-mee A prolonged form of a primary word στάω staō (of the same meaning, and used for it in certain tenses); to stand (transitively or intransitively), used in various applications (literally or figuratively): – abide, appoint, bring, continue, covenant, establish, hold up, lay, present, set (up), stanch, stand (by, forth, still, up). Luk 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the NEW testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

1Co 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the NEW testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

2Co 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the NEW testament ; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Heb 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the NEW testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a NEW covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Yehoshua Rising From The Grave Confirms The New Covenant.

Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A NEW covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

2 Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

The definitions for the Greek word (3501) ‘New’ in New Covenant doesn’t seem to work? I have a Huge problem with Hebrews 12:24. All the other New Testament Passages that have the words NEW Testament use the word that corresponds to the Hebrew word NEW that means to Freshen and/or Rebuild.

Hebrews 12:24 uses the wrong word for NEW. It is like the Hebrew word for if the LORD does a NEW (something that is 100% NEW) Thing.

Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the NEW (3501) covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Mat 9:17 Neither do men put NEW (3501) wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new (3501) wine into NEW (2537) bottles, and both are preserved.

NEW

G3501 νέος, νεώτερος neos neōteros neh’-os, neh-o’-ter-os A primary word, including the comparative (second form); “new”, that is, (of persons) youthful, or (of things) fresh; figuratively regenerate: – new, young.

NEW

G2537 καινός kainos kahee-nos’ Of uncertain affinity; new (especially in freshness; while G3501 is properly so with respect to age): – new.

G3501 νέος, νεώτερος neos neōteros neh’-os, neh-o’-ter-os A primary word, including the comparative (second form); “new”, that is, (of persons) youthful, or (of things) fresh; figuratively regenerate: – new, young.

The New Testament And Our Faith Is Proof Yehoshua Is Returning.

Gen 6:18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.

This Is The COVENANT With ADAM!!!

Gen 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

COVENANT

H1285 בּרית berı̂yth ber-eeth’ From H1262 (in the sense of cutting (like H1254)); a compact (because made by passing between pieces of flesh): – confederacy, [con-]feder[-ate], covenant, league.

H1262 בּרה bârâh baw-raw’ A primitive root; to select; also (as denominative from H1250) to feed; also (as equivalent to H1305) to render clear (Ecc_3:18): – choose, (cause to) eat, manifest, (give) meat.

H1250 בּר בּר bâr bar bawr, bar From H1305 (in the sense of winnowing); grain of any kind (even while standing in the field); by extension the open country: – corn, wheat.

H1254 בּרא bârâ’ baw-raw’ A primitive root; (absolutely) to create; (qualified) to cut down (a wood), select, feed (as formative processes): – choose, create (creator), cut down, dispatch, do, make (fat).

In Conclusion, The Prophecies Of The New Covenant Were Fulfilled.

I look at the Torah (The Old Covenant) the way I look at frozen concentrate orange juice and a cake without frosting. The orange juice straight out of the can is bitter and to strong, but you add three cans of water to the concentrate and the orange juice concentrate is now REBUILT, sweet and awesome to drink.

The frosting-less cake still tastes delicious, but you put frosting on it, and now you have a real dessert. Thus, the cake is REBUILT, a complete dessert.

Yehoshua’s Teachings, Shed Blood, Death, Resurrection, Pentecost and Return is the Old Covenant Rebuilt.
